The heart and head of the company is Michael Hümpel PhD, who switched to biochemistry after preclinical exam of medical study (Physikum) and did his doctorate in biochemistry. For more than 30 years he gained experience in R&D at Schering AG on various levels up to the management of the PK institute and the processing of cross-sectional topics of the international company. R&D has spanned small and large molecules and across a variety of therapeutic areas. He has remarkable scientific expertise in the field of pharmacokinetics and biotransformation and has introduced and further developed these areas of knowledge in research, pre-clinical safety testing (toxicokinetics), clinical pharmacology and clinical development. The routine analysis of active ingredients and metabolites in almost all areas of drug development is one of the most important conditions for lean and goal-oriented development.
His strength is in bringing complex or seemingly complex issues to a rapid clarification, either through theoretical or practical approaches.
KAIROSmetics UG was founded on January 1st, 2011 in Berlin.
